iLink Upsampling - From 44.1 to 176.4 kHzThe iLink provides your DAC with a bit-perfect data stream that is identical to that from a good CD transport. But we have all experienced the sonic benifits of upsampling. The iLink Upsampling upgrade allows very high quality upsampling to be accomplished in the massive DSP already used for jitter elimination. With this upgrade, the iLink outputs digital audio at 176.4 kHz all the time, on all three digital outputs. Better than a CD Player?
iPod is a registered trademark of Apple Computer. The iPod upgrade is not approved by Apple and voids Apple’s warranty. The iLink provides no function with non-upgraded iPods. In September 2007 Apple released 6th generation iPod Videos, a new 80 GB and 160 GB model. We have adequate stock of 5th generation 80 GB iPods and will continue to offer them as well as offer upgrades to that model until the engineering for the 6th generation has been completed, sometime in 2008. The iLink is expected to be compatible with the new iPods.
